- 1 whole wheat tortilla
- 1/2 can chickpea
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp cornstarch (or arrowroot)
- 2~3 Tbsp houmous
- few lettuce leaves, chopped
The original recipe (from Happy Herbivore) called for teriyaki sauce, but as we don’t find it so easily here in France I decided to make it myself.
In a small pan mix soy sauce, sugar, spices and half the water. Bring to a boil.
Mix the cornstarch with the rest of the water and add to the pan. Mix untill it thickens and then add the chickpea and keep on cooking (and mixing) for a few minutes.
Spread houmous on the tortilla, fill with letuce, chickpeas and enjoy !!
